A Thomas Halloween

In the past years, I have dressed Caleb like he is my baby, which he is (you know, Pooh Bear, Tigger, etc.) This year I decided was high time to dress him like something he LOVES.  I started looking into making him a Thomas Train costume when my sister Cindy told me she was making one for her son, and she wouldn't mind making another since she was already doing one. Thanks Cindy.
I don't know if I've ever seen Caleb this happy!
This is Caleb during his preschool party and trunk or treat with the mommy's.
Of course Caleb had a blast, but the poor kid got a tummy bug the day before, so wasn't able to eat the cupcake or candy he got until we could see he was tolerating real foods well.  So instead he came home and gave most of his candy to Grandma and watched with pleasure as she enjoyed it.  Then he played for like an hour with his trick or treat crayons and skittles.  It was adorable and although I felt bad, I found his sharing and self control very sweet.

Caleb and Grandma

Caleb loves spending time with his grandma Seal. Their relationship is the cutest thing ever.  Since we all live together, they have gotten to spend quite a bit of time together.  These two are also the most sentimental people I've ever met.  If you know Caleb very well, you know about his "Thomas", "White Blankie", "Bear", and "Rusty" the dog, to name a few.  I tend to think Caleb is this way because his grandma is sentimental like that too.

Caleb is also a very sweet child.  He is very aware of and concerned for others.  Ever since he has learned how to pray, he's prayed every day for mommy to get better.   He has been more sweet and supportive (& helpful!) these past few years than I would ever think a 3 and 4 year-old could be!

Fall, Beautiful, Bountiful

My family usually goes up the canyon every fall and roasts hotdogs and marshmellows. The trail to get to our spot this year was really steep, but my legs have gotten stronger and I made it!
I' m really glad we went. It was a ton of fun.

We could also see the Angel Moroni on the Bountiful temple (our temple!) from where we were which was really cool, especially as it got dark and was lit up in the sky.

Family Pictures!

My side of the family got pictures taken downtown recently. The lighting wasn't the best, but it was a beautiful autumn day. Here are a few of the better ones of our family...

The end.

Our Caleb is so Silly and Cute!

These next pictures were taken at my mom's house in Bountiful that same day.  Caleb is distracted by his cousins, but still looks cute of course.

The Love of My Life.

The other day I was at the store and ran into an acquintance that wanted to know how I was doing. I gave her the quick update:
that I am doing so much better than I have been, and that I am finally getting out of the house again. She said that she bet my husband was really glad about that. I told her that he definately is happy that I'm able to do things with him again, but that what I have gone through has probably made our relationship 10x stronger, because my wonderful husband stuck by my side.

It's true. He was there when I needed him most, taking care of me, watching after Caleb, cleaning the house, doing the cooking, taking care of the finances, and everything else. We've also gotten to know each other on a much deeper level these past 3 years. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband. This trial has definately strengthened our marriage in so many ways. I'm so glad that I've had my best friend to help me through this.
